Blind (BL) flange also known as blind plate, is a round plate which has all of the relevant holes but no center hole, used for closing off the ends of a piping systems or sealing the pipes as a plug. The role is the same with welded fitting of cap, the difference is that the blind flange can be dismantled at any time.
